Rebuilding a damaged wheel is as much an art as it is science. Using almost a decade of experience we can structurally restore wheels include cracks, holes and chunks.
A single crack to an alloy wheel. Heavy impact from a pothole or hitting a curb can cause a crack in the rim. This may lead to tyre pressure loss.
This type of damage is often on the back of the wheel.
Damage to the face of the wheel or a hole in the rim wall is much harder to repair and reform. These jobs take more time as care has to be taken to match the original shape.
Sometimes an impact can be so extreme that it causes multiple cracks or a crack and face damage.
It is hard to quote for this type of damage without inspecting the wheel first.
Using heat and electromechanical manipulation it is possible to reshape a buckled wheel and with our many years of experience we can gain a true rim regaining structural integrity.
The most common buckle to a car wheel is a dent to the inside of the rim. This can lead to tyre pressure loss.
A buckle to the face of the wheel is a much harder job. We will use all of our skill and experience to reshape the damage to match the original shape of the wheel.
If your wheel has more than one dent or a buckle and crack then there is of course more work to be carried out.
We usually like to inspect the wheel before we quote for this type of damage.
Welding and buckle repairs can damage the paint a lacquer and depending on where the damage is it maybe visible. We are able to offer a full refurbishment so that your repaired wheel looks as good as new once more.
